Make the snow go away

Good Morning, from what I think is the coldest spot on earth right now Northwest Indiana. It is beyond cold and windy here but it has been this way for so long that the threat of another 8 inches of snow has made me decide to share a make it inside snowman. I started with a Pinterest Pin that I pinned to try at a later date and you can find the original website here: http://www.theidearoom.net/2010/01/snow-man-tutorial.html
Where you will find a pattern you can print for the snowman body and the tutorial of how she made him by hand embroidering his face and such. Well, I'm a bit lazy these days cold and snow and all and even tho I can hand embroider why do it when you have a sewing machine that will do the work for you. So, that is how I did my face. Then it took of from there.

This is the original idea from the Pinterest Pin. I thought he was so cute.

My finished product which became gifts and items for sale at a local craft bazaar. I love both looks and would have to conclude this was a Pin that worked out just fine.

Thanks for looking now I'm off to try something new. Have a pin you want me to considering trying leave me a comment and I will see about doing it. I am still very new to blogging so I have not gotten a Facebook page or a Pinterest set up on this page yet. But thanks again for visiting and sharing with your friend.

Be sure to follow this page for a giveaway coming soon.

Happy Pinning,
Michelle

Granny Square Hat

This week with the "polar vortex" making her appearance once again I decided to give BobWilson123's Granny Square hat a try and I must say it came out wonderful. I used Vanna's Choice yarn and you can find the pattern by downloading it at BobWilson123. I even had to go a step further and add a Handmade Clay Button because I had been seeing them pop up all over Pinterest these days. Do you have a Favorite Hat pattern you like to crochet if you do share it with us in the comments so we can check it out too. If you can't crochet that is alright  too you order one pre-made or in your choice of color at   www.facebook.com/2brokecrafters.

The Vanna's Choice from Lion Brand we started with. Love this color it is  called Dusty Green.

Have to show off my Handmade Hook. Absolutely love the colors and the feel of it in my hand. It is a great treat to my hands to get to hold this hook, From Poor Man's Polymer.

A sneak Peek at the almost finished project
Add the Handmade Button and it is already to go on a head. It has already
found its' place on a head of a teenage girl who couldn't wait to snatch the finish product.
Button was handmade again by Poor Man's Polymer.

I couldn't stop at one. I have at this point made several . Some were given away
because a cold head in the Chicago Area just can't stay cold and some are available at
www.facebook.com/2brokecrafters.
Take a minute to like and share that page for great giveaways and monthly specials.

Snowman on a Cold Snowy Day.

As many of you know I am really into trying things I find on Pinterest and even though the weather here in Indiana stinks. We have had over 60 inches of snow since December 1,2013. Yesterday we had horrible rain storms today we wake up to more snow and winds. We are trying our best to still have fun with our projects. I recently came across a really cute snowman for my yard so I of course I had to make my own version. This is what I came up with after a trip to the Thrift store and the wood pile.
